THIS IS NOT A COLD STONE BOO BATTER DUPE‼️ I REPEAT 🗣️ THIS IS NOT A COLD STONE BOO BATTER DUPE‼️

This Boo Batter Protein Ice Cream is cake batter flavored with Halloween sprinkles, and I just felt like this name was the most suitable. I didn’t care to settle for something subpar in an attempt to avoid confusion—but now here I am having to explain myself, and now here I am again ending said explanation.

ANYWAY, I wasn’t even going to post this recipe because it’s the most basic of all my Halloween Creami experiments, but then I was like, whatever, why not! It’s still delicious, still festive, and still a word that rhymes with fest…ive.

But um, the reason why I made this recipe in the first place is because growing up, my mom would always buy the holiday-themed Pillsbury Funfetti cakes to bake—and one of those holidays included Halloween! It had (and still has, because I’m not that old and what I’m talking about still exists, thank you!) orange, black, and white sprinklesssss and an orange frosting. And even though it’s basic, it was something I always looked forward to.

So with that being said, let’s bring it back to the basics and get into the recipe! 👻

🧙‍♀️ Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Halloween energy in every bite: It’s bright, colorful, and screams “October” without being over-the-top.
  • Sweet, nostalgic flavor: Cake batter + butter extract = pure childhood dessert energy.
  • High-protein + guilt-free: Creamy, satisfying, and macro-friendly.
  • Minimal effort: A handful of ingredients, one blender, one pint — that’s it.
  • Kid- and adult-approved: Whether you’re nine or ninety, sprinkles are always a good idea.

Ice Cream Base

Mix-Ins

🧁 Instructions

Blend it up:

Add all the ice cream base ingredients to a blender — the milk, protein powder, pudding mix, cake batter extract, butter extract, sweetener, and salt. Blend until completely smooth. You want no powder clumps or gritty bits.

Freeze it:

Pour your blended mixture into a Ninja Creami pint. Freeze on a flat, level surface for at least 24 hours. (I know it’s tempting to check early — don’t. The texture depends on it.)

Spin time:

Once it’s fully frozen, remove the pint from the freezer and let hot water run over the outside (including the bottom) for about 1–2 minutes.

First spin:

Insert the pint into your Ninja Creami and spin on Lite Ice Cream mode.

Re-spin if needed:

After the first spin, re-spin once or twice until the texture reaches your version of perfection.

Add the magic:

Create a well in the center if one isn’t there naturally, then add your Halloween sprinkles. Leave a few aside for topping later.

Final mix:

Spin on Mix-In mode so the sprinkles blend evenly throughout.

Serve and enjoy:

Sprinkle the rest of your Halloween sprinkles on top and admire your masterpiece before devouring it.

🎂 Customization Ideas

The fun part about this recipe is how easily you can make it your own while keeping the same festive energy.

  • Switch up the flavor: Use sugar-free vanilla pudding mix instead of cheesecake if that’s what you have, or add a few drops of almond extract for a cakey-er twist.
  • Color it up: If you want that signature Cold-Stone-style color, add a little activated charcoal for that dark and spooky vibe.
  • Add some crunch: Crushed Oreos, graham cracker crumbs, or crushed candy corn (if you’re feeling nostalgic) make the perfect mix-ins.
  • Protein boost: Add a tablespoon of Greek yogurt or a splash of Fairlife protein shake for an extra creamy, high-protein finish.
  • Toppings: Whipped cream, a drizzle of sugar-free chocolate syrup, or a dusting of edible glitter — yes, glitter — all make it extra fun.

🍨 Tips for the Best Texture

  • Use 2% milk for balance. It gives a creamy texture without being too heavy or icy.
  • Don’t skip the re-spin. The first blend might look crumbly — trust the process and re-spin until smooth.
  • Let it chill in the freezer before eating. A few minutes in the freezer makes it more scoopable if that’s what you’re after.
  • Store leftovers right: If you don’t finish it (impressive restraint, honestly), store it with a lid and re-spin before your next serving.
  • Add mix-ins only after the initial spins. Otherwise, they’ll get pulverized.

❓FAQ

Can I make this dairy-free?

Absolutely! Substitute the 2% milk with unsweetened almond milk or oat milk. Just note the texture will be slightly less creamy.

Do I have to use cheesecake pudding mix?

Nope — vanilla works too! Cheesecake just gives it a deeper, richer flavor that balances the cake batter extract.

Can I skip the butter extract?

Technically yes, but it’s what gives this that “real cake batter” richness. Without it, the cake batter flavor is a little harder to detect but still good!

How long does it last in the freezer?

Up to two weeks, though the texture is always best within the first few days. Just re-spin when you’re ready to enjoy again.

Can I double the recipe?

You can, but you’ll need two pints. The Ninja Creami doesn’t like being overfilled, and you’ll risk a messy spin.

🕯️ Final Thoughts

This Boo Batter Protein Ice Cream is one of those recipes that proves you don’t need to overcomplicate things to make something fun. The flavor is cozy and nostalgic — buttery cake batter meets cheesecake creaminess — while the sprinkles add just the right touch of Halloween charm.

It’s festive enough to feel special but simple enough to make anytime. And let’s be honest — if there’s ever a good reason to eat ice cream full of Halloween sprinkles, this is it.

So grab your pint, pop in your favorite Halloween movie (bonus points if it’s something from the Disney Channel era), and enjoy this spooky-cute treat. Because sometimes, being an adult means buying your own sprinkles and celebrating Halloween your way. 🎃👻🍦
