Ingredient Breakdown

Oats: The base of every good overnight oats recipe! Quick oats work best here, creating a creamy, dreamy texture.

Mandarin Oranges: Freshly juiced and sliced for that vibrant citrus flavor. (Feel free to use clementines or navel oranges as substitutes.)

Protein Powder: Vanilla protein powder not only boosts the protein content but also enhances the dessert-like flavor.

Greek Yogurt: Adds creaminess and a dose of gut-friendly probiotics.

Pudding Mix & Jello Mix: These sugar-free mixes are optional but add extra layers of flavor to mimic the creamsicle vibe.

Sweetener & Milk: Customize to your taste with stevia, honey, or maple syrup and your preferred milk choice.

How to Make It

The Night Before

1. Combine all the ingredients for the oat base: oats, protein powder, Greek yogurt, mandarin orange juice, pudding mix, Jello mix, milk, vanilla, sweetener, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth.

2. Transfer the mixture into a jar or bowl and top with mandarin orange slices for a fresh pop of color.

3. Cover and refrigerate overnight. This gives the oats time to soak up all those delicious flavors.

The Next Morning

1. Prepare the “cream” topping by mixing Greek yogurt, sugar-free vanilla pudding mix, and your choice of sweetener in a small bowl.

2. Spoon the topping over your oats for a luxurious creamy layer.

3. Garnish with additional mandarin slices or even a sprinkle of orange zest for a vibrant finish.

Tips for Perfect Orange Creamsicle Oats

1. Fresh Juice is Key: Using fresh mandarin or orange juice will give the recipe a natural, bright flavor. Pre-packaged juice can work in a pinch but might lack the same zing.

2. Adjust the Sweetness: Taste-test as you go! Everyone’s sweetness preference varies, so feel free to tweak the amount of stevia, honey, or syrup.

3. Get Creative with Toppings: Add granola for crunch, coconut flakes for tropical vibes, or even white chocolate chips for an extra treat.
